AFSCME Local 199 Statement on Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller Recertification Victory

Yesterday, employees of the Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court wrapped up a recertification election by voting 96% in favor of retaining their union voice through AFSCME Local 199. 

AFSCME Local 199 President Se'Adoreia Brown released the following statement: 

“Workers in this county are reaching a tipping point — inflation is impacting families daily while billionaires use their anti-worker front groups to work with extremist politicians to shred their rights and chance at the American Dream. The power to fight back comes from a seat at the table and a voice in your future. And this election underscores that we will never stop standing up for what is right.”
