Today, the AFSCME family is celebrating another strong recertification win here in Florida. Workers represented by AFSCME 305 in City of Miami Gardens voted 100% AFSCME yes.

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement:

“Are members are facing unnecessary recertification elections across the state nearly every day and the only thing these union busting laws have shown is that public service workers want a union on the job. We are proud of the work the members in Miami Gardens and Orange County Corrections do every day. They don’t quit on their community and their union will never quit standing with them no matter how hard billionaire special interests come after our rights.
